Having costumed and handled at several events that involve sports directly, or indirectly (like Dragon*Con, not a sporting event, but a high number of people staying at the hotels are there for college football. If you travel on Labor Day weekend for college football, you’re probably an asshole) I can say this exact scenario has happened to me multiple times. Being told by crazy people that you’re crazy…just doesn’t compute.

You might be surprised at how persistent some employees are in knowing about your project. I’m sure that engaging people wandering around the store usually ends up with the employee being able to offer help or assistance, but…
