This was our movie. The funny thing was, I was more straight-laced than she was. Her mom adored me because I was a “good influence”, I didn’t like her casual drug use and her petty larceny. I’m glad that I can really only remember the good things, like how she tried to teach me to skateboard (even though I was awful).
I kept every note she ever wrote me. I wonder if she did the same.
